Şile Sealight Elite is a meeting, event and an holiday hotel designed instead of the older hotel located in the steep hillside plot with a coast to the beach.

The initial design thoughts were creating separate smaller blocks of hotel suits with larger social facilities dissappear in the terraced elevations with natural vegetation to become almost invisible in the area. But considering the demands of clients which called for bigger indoor spaces and climate conditions of the area in the winter, the intial design was changed. Instead of designing multiple smaller block of buildings, one long line like unit with curves was designed and more than half of it was burried into the ground. The entrance was designed into the middle of the long line shaped building and seperated into 2 blocks. A Block was almost burried underground and made invisible to the eye from the street approaching to the hotel. B Block designed higher and contained all the social facilities needed for the 5 star hotel underground. The aim of the design was to create significant architecture without disturbing the environment so the whole facades, exterior floors were finished with dark wood. Full glass facades were intergrated to the hotel to make the most of the sunshine as it would have been appriciated to have as much as natural lighting and heating possible for the winters. The levels were terraced in harmony with the natural slope of the plot, many floor gardens were created to provide shading over the facades and create a building more in peace with the nature.

Lobby was designed to see the charming view of Black Sea by an high elevation through the curtain wall facade right from the entrance. Half a floor below there are hotel rooms designed on the Block A and other facilities were solved on the same level as entrance.

BASEMENT FLOOR PLAN

The hotel was suppossed to be serving business people for the winter time as a meeting and event hotel. Therefore, connected by a round stairs from the lobby, there is a huge foyer area with the view of the Black Sea, providing an entrace to the meeting rooms and conference hall. The breakfast & diner saloon was designed in this floor with banquet station and staff servicing areas such as kitchen were solved next to that area.
